Mikronel 320 / Mikronel 220


For Milling, Boring, Co-ordinated Drilling and Similar Machine Tools

Additional Capabilities
In addition to general features of Mikronel Series, the milling machine model includes following unprecedented capabilities:

10 DIFFERENT CO-ORDINATE REFERENCE

Mikronel 320 and 220 readout units provide the comfort of 10 independent co-ordinate reference points. It is possible to make incremental and absolute measurements with respect to each of these 10 independent reference points. Thanks to this capability, jobs requiring repeating intricate patterns can easily be machined. In addition, this feature reduces number of calculations needed with associated probability of error.

CUTTING TOOL RADIUS COMPENSATION



10 different cutting tool diameters can be recorded in memory. With tool diameter, tool number and cutting direction in memory, tool radii are automatically added or subtracted from co-ordinates. This facilitates precision machining with ease directly from work piece drawing.
3 DIMENSIONAL QUALITY CONTROL CAPABILITY (optional)

With the aid of touch probes, unprecedented 3 dimensional distance measurement capability , of Mikronel 320 and Mikronel 220 allows one to make preliminary quality control of the work-piece being machined on the machine tool.



A co-ordinate which can be defined using touch probe functions can be recorded in memory. If desired, difference between a second co-ordinate and the co-ordinate recorded in memory can be displayed as dX dY differences in cartesian representation. With the aid of this facility, especially on large bohring machines, difficulties associated with post machining dimension check or 3 dimensional quality control can be eliminated.


ADDITIONAL PROGRAMMING TOOLS (optional)




In addition to basic programming capabilities. Mikronel 320 and 220 Series units can include ready programme modules. For example, a module can be inserted in between programme steps to calculate center coordinates of a series of holes a circle.




By using TP series touch probe, you can find the edge, the center, length, and corner of the workpiece.

For Turning Machines

Additional Capabilities
In addition to general features of Mikronel Series, the turning machine model includes following capabilities:

Z1 AXIS INDICATION

With Mikronel 320L, it is possible to measure cross support movements on a seperate display. This allows one to machine conic parts with ease and independent of Z axis.
10 TOOL OFFSET MEMORIES

Mikronel 320L and 220L include memories for 10 different tool offsets. Cutting tip co-ordinates of different length and shape tools can be entered, upon tool change appropriate tool offsets can be recalled from memory.

Five function keys (A-E) have been allocated for tool memory. Tool offset values in memory can be recalled on two groups of five using a single key. This allow time saving and operator convenience in series production.
DIRECT DIAMETER DISPLAY

At a single key stroke X axis display can be set to read radius or diameter. This capability allows diameter and from axis dimensions.


Z1 AXIS MOVEMENT PROJECTIONS

Classic Z and Z1 axis co-ordinate summing function has been improved to be more universal in Mikronel 320L. When the cross support is turned at an angle to the X and Z axes, vector components of Z1 axis movements can be summed with both X and Z axes. Naturally, when the angle is zero, Z axis display can indicate sum of Z and Z1.

A seperate key is allocated for easy use to enable and disable this function.

With this new capability it is possible to machine on X and Z axes without the need to first align the cross support. For machining conic parts, additional time saving is achieved with the capability to work on 3 axes simultaneously.
